Mr. Tanaka has developed his own unique ceramic‑making techniques, drawing inspiration from ancient Korean Yi Dynasty and Momoyama‑period pottery—works that have retained their beauty for centuries. His pieces are known for their simple yet timeless elegance.
The small ear‑like protrusions on both sides follow a traditional form that dates back to ancient China. Perfectly sized for serving sake or Chinese tea, this cup showcases the warm, rounded charm and gentle tones characteristic of kohiki ware.
